Washington Spirit

The Washington Spirit is a Kynisca sister club

The Washington Spirit is the premier professional women’s soccer team based in Washington, D.C., playing at Audi Field in Buzzard Point. The Spirit, founded in 2012, is an inaugural member of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), the premier women’s football league in North America. The team won the NWSL championship in 2021 and was a runner-up in 2016, 2024 and 2025.

Created in 2004, OL Lyonnes is the most successful club in the French women’s championship with a unique record of 42 titles, including 19 French champion titles, 11 French Cups and 3 Champion Trophies. On an international scale, OL is also the only European club to have won the Women’s Champions League 8 times, including 5 consecutive years.

After the success of the first edition in 2025 devoted to endometriosis, OL Lyonnes continues its commitment to women’s health with the organization of a new conference, dedicated to pregnancy and sport.

Founded in 2019, London City Lionesses made history as London’s first independent professional Women’s Football Club, playing all home matches at the CopperJax Community Stadium in Bromley. After winning the 2024/25 Barclays Women’s Championship, the team became the first-ever independent club to compete in the Barclays Women’s Super League in 2025/26 and set a record for the most points in a debut season.
